If you run a yoga studio, choosing the right mats affects more than your students' practice.
It affects maintenance costs, hygiene, your studio branding, and even how members perceive your space. Generic mats wear out fast, carry no identity, and send a message that equipment is an afterthought. Custom cork mats solve all three problems — and at 10 pieces, they cost about the same as generic alternatives.
Why Cork for Studio Use?
Studio mats face harder conditions than personal mats. Multiple users per day. Frequent cleaning. Constant rolling and unrolling. Cork outperforms synthetic alternatives on every dimension.
Durability. A cork yoga mat lasts three to five years of daily studio use. A generic PU mat typically needs replacement after one year. Over a three-year cycle, the cork option costs less than half.
Antimicrobial. Cork contains suberin, a natural waxy compound that resists bacteria, mould, and mildew — the material itself, not a coating. For shared mats used by dozens of practitioners weekly, this reduces hygiene concerns between cleanings.
Grip. Cork's grip improves with moisture. Synthetic mats require textured coatings that degrade with washing. For hot yoga and high-intensity classes, cork is the better surface.
Sustainability. When a cork mat reaches end of life, it can be composted. PU mats break down into microplastics. Studios whose brand values include mindfulness and sustainability should choose materials that align.

What Studios Order

Standard studio mat. 183 × 66cm, 5mm natural cork on tree rubber base. Studio logo laser-engraved in the bottom-right corner. The most popular order from independent studios with 1-3 rooms.
Studio + instructor combo. The studio logo in one corner, instructor name in another. Used for teacher-owned mats stored at the studio. Each mat can carry a different instructor name at the same price.
Retreat sets. 10-20 identical mats with retreat name and date engraved. Given to attendees as take-home gifts or sold as part of the retreat package. A Byron Bay studio recently ordered 12 custom mats for their annual retreat — delivered within three weeks.
Teacher training graduation mats. Programme logo plus each graduate's name. Ordered in batches matching each cohort size. Graduates use their branded mat in every class photo and social media post — free marketing for the school.
Studio Owner FAQ
What is the minimum order?
One mat. Many studios begin with a single branded sample before outfitting their entire space. It lets you check the engraving quality and logo placement without committing to a full order.
Can I order matching cork yoga blocks?
Yes. Cork blocks with the same logo engraving are available. Most studios order 10 mats + 10 blocks as a matching set.
Can I use my existing logo?
Yes. Send your logo file — any format works (.ai, .eps, .svg, .png, .jpg). If you do not have a vector file, we convert it at no charge.
Can you ship directly to Australia?
Yes. DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) shipping to Australia, UK, and EU. Customs, duties, and final-mile delivery are handled. The mats arrive at your studio door — you track the package, not fill out customs forms.
Can I mix colours?
Natural cork is one colour — warm amber-beige. The engraving is dark brown to near-black. If your logo requires a specific Pantone colour, screen printing is an option but note the higher minimums and shorter durability.
Can I order more later?
Yes. Your design file is stored digitally. Reorder five mats or twenty — same process, same quality, and the same per-mat price. Studios typically reorder every 12-18 months as mats reach end of life or as they expand to new rooms.
How long does a studio order take?
3-4 weeks from mockup approval. Production: 5-10 business days. DDP shipping: 7-14 days. For a single sample mat: 2-3 weeks.
Want to see your logo first?
We can prepare a digital engraving preview before you commit to a studio order. No pressure — just so you can see how it looks on cork.

Custom cork yoga mats for studios start from a single piece. Volume discounts apply automatically at 5+, 10+, and 20+ mats. A boutique studio ordering 10-15 branded mats typically spends less than they would on generic premium mats without a logo.
